LG has officially unveiled a new low-cost smartphone called LG Optimus L1 II. Optimus L1 II is the one of unpretentious Android smartphone at the hardware level, but still potentially attractive to modest buyers who are interested in a complete, small and lightweight Android phone.

The technical features of this device include a 3-inch display with a resolution of 320 × 240 pixels, a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB ​​of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory, expandable up to 32 GB via microSD cards. While the front camera is absent, it comes with 2-megapixel rear camera, capturing video at VGA resolution. The new phone features a compact body, measuring 12.2mm thick, housing 1540 mAh battery and supports the 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS.

LG Optimus L1 II runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and comes with some software such as QuickMemo and Cheese Shutter, useful to take notes and photographs with voice commands, respectively.

Hence, the handset is aimed for low-end smartphone market, with very similar characteristics to those of the L3 II, introduced on the market in April. Optimus L1 II will be available in Vietnam, Russia and UK initially, at a price of about $95 while other selected markets will follow later in the year.

LG Optimus L1 II is the latest addition to the Optimus II series. In February, the South Korean manufacturer has sold 10 million units of the first series of Optimus L so far.
