General Mobile is a Turkish mobile and tablet brand that was established in 2005. The company is also a partner of Google’s Android One initiative. This makes General Mobile one of the several partners Google has in its bid to take the low-cost ‘pure Android’ smartphone experience to various nations across the world.

According to the company’s listing for the GM 5, it will have a 5-inch 1,280×720 display with Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4.This will likely be just the first Android One-based smartphone that will have Nougat out of the box, but we should see more of these mid-ranged phones with Google’s latest Android OS pop up in the coming months.
